This week we have painted to within an inch of our lives! Painting is one of those things that comes along from time to time in life, you forget you can do it but you also forget how stiff you feel in the morning and how much hard work it is! But nothing comes easy and it has been rewarding and gratifying work. The café looks amazing if we don’t say so ourselves! We will post some photos soon.
We are going for a fresh open, modern look with herbs on the tables which smell delicious! We will also add a place for jackets in winter and we have moved some of the furniture around to create a small bar area in the evenings so those of you who knew Scoffers, the café that was here before us, you will see some big changes! Do come down and check it out.
We are almost ready for our first supper club on Friday this week, 9th September. We have had lots of bookings already which is amazing, thanks everybody for your response. There are still spaces left so do get in touch and come along. You can contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01483 811337. Or pop your head in if you see us in the window covered in paint!
We are also planning some exciting events so watch this space, also if you have an event idea or would like to hold an event yourself then do get in touch, we would love to help.
Initial opening times will be:
- Wednesday to Saturday – brunch / lunch from 10.30 to 5pm
- Friday to Saturday – supper clubs to late
- Early evening – we will be open between lunch and evening service (Fri, Sat) for drinks and light bite
We will be adding more brunch / lunch and evening services, including Sunday’s, over the coming months as we settle in. We will announce changes.
Along with the crazy bean opening this month there are a lot of vegan events going on around the country, and there seems to be more every year which is great news. For us, near London, we look forward to VegFest London in October, and in fact, we will look to have a stall next year. We have included a list of other countrywide events and details below.
Once again do come down on the weekend of the 16th and 17th September, share a glass of bubbly and try some of our food! Can’t wait to meet you all then!
